Her Hands
Earth-Dyed
Color, the way it used to be made. Many of our pieces are dyed using natural sources, bark, root, leaves, and time-honored techniques passed through generations of artisans. Natural dye doesn't rush; each shade takes time to draw out and settle in. The process stays handmade throughout, and the slight variation from batch to batch is the point, not a flaw.
Redwood
One of our favorite hues. Nothing wasted. Sawdust from the artisan’s woodwork becomes a rich range of rust, terracotta, and wine-red earthtones.
Red Sorghum
Rich in earthy reddish-brown tones, Poroporo (Red Sorghum) is valued beyond its color. It is traditionally consumed as a herbal tea in Liberia and widely used in Ghanaian cuisine.
Turmeric
Vibrant golden yellows from turmeric powder. One of our signature colors. 💛
Bixa Orellana
A rich orange dye from the seeds inside its pods. In Liberia, it is affectionately known as lipstick for its vibrant color.
Justicia Carnea
Delicate lavender-grey hue when used as a natural dye. The plant is also traditionally valued in Liberia for its healing properties.
